Spirit wines cider
Many cocktails contain the same spirit but in difference mixer or quantities, so with a small stock of different drinks a variety of cocktail is no offer.

Brandy
Brandy is popular spirit distilled from grape wines. There are blended brandies available from all over the world but are blended brandies available from all over the world but some of the better and more expensive brandies are French brandy: cognac and armagnac. There is also a range of fruit brandies or cave-de-vie, such as peach, cherry and apricot, as well as calvados, which is French fruit brandy distilled from apple wine.
The American equivalent is apple jack. All are perfect for use in a variety of cocktails.
Champagne
Use brut dry champagne or method champenoise wines when making cocktails. You”ll find that keep their sparkle a lot longer. Some of the less expensive champagne-style super market wines such as the Spanish cava are ideal for mixing with a Variety of fruit pumes, freshly squeezed fruit juice and syrups.
Cider
A drink made from fermented apple juice sweet or dry cider both mix well with brandy and other spirits as does a cider made with pears use Perry in exactly the same way as apple older to make a tasty variation.
Sherry
This fortified wine originally came from Spain but now it is also produced in large number of their countries, such as Greece, Cyrus, South Africa and Austria. It’s available in a range of style. Fine (pale and dry), amontillado (medium) manzavills (medium dry) oloroso and amonuso (sweetish) and mantilla (lower in alcoholic)
Tequila
Available in clear and golden (aged) lives, tequilas are fermented and distilled in Mexico, from the juice of the agaves cactus Tequila mixed with lime juice a little salt is Mexico’s national tile. It is also an essential ingredient in the popular margarita where it is mixed with cointream and lime.
Vermouth
A high-strength wine cooked with a selection of herbs vermouth is available as extra-dry white better-sweet rode, medium sweet, bianco and sweet red. By tradition, French vermouth are drier whilst the Italian ones tend to be sweeter.
Vodka
A colourless spirit, distilled from rye, malt or potato starch, that originated in Eastern Europe. It has a completely neutral taste, which allows it to mix well with other spirits and fruit juice. Sleeping vodka with fruit, fresh herbs and spices adds flavour and interest to the cocktail.
Whisky
There are various types Scotch whisky. Irish whisky, the American bourbon and the Canadian rye. Whisky is distilled from either malted or unmalted grains can also be blended.
Liqueurs
Many liquers available today originated as medical tonic and a few were creted by monks in their dispensaries. Liqueurs are made from a base spirit with herbs of citrus fruit spices or extracts from coffee beans.
Amaretto
A sweet Italian fruit-based liqueur with more than a hint of almost and apricot used in Hooded claw and cider cup. It’s made near the town of saronro in Italy.
Anisette
Aniseed-flavoured liqueurs like the Italian sambucca and the Spanish anis are often flavoured with coriander and fennel as well as aniseed. French period and pasties are also anisettes, often served simply poured over plenty of ice cubes.
Benedictine
Made from an old French recipe passed dowen by the Benedictine monks of the abbey of fecamp in Normandy. It is a golden-coloured brandy-based liqueurs, flavoured with myrrh, other herbs and honey. It is an essential ingredient in the cocktail sea dog.
Chartreuse
A Frensh brandy-based liqueurs made from honey, herbs and spices originally made by carthusian mons at La Grande chartreuse monastery, the green liqueur has more alcohol then yellow variety, which is flavoured with orange and myrtle.
Colntreau
Sweet and syrupy, it is a colourless liqueur with a strong aromatic orange flavour and is often served poured over ice.
Southern comfort
This American liqueur has a bourbon whisky base and is falvoured with fruit.
Tia Maria
A Jamaica liqueur made from run. blue mountain coffee extracts and spices. It can be used for a less sweet version or kahlua.
